Title: Story of Sunset
Chapters: I don't quite know at this point, when I get a vague idea I will change this
Author: Shadowstar
Pairing: None that I know of yet, if there are any later I will update
Summary: What happened to SunsetClan, before, during, and after the Clans drove them out, and, more importantly, why.
Editor: None

Authors Notes: While I do not own Warriors by Erin Hunter, the story and name of SunsetClan and the cats within it are totally mine. As are the other Clans.
A pale white glow from the rising moon illuminates the figure of a jagged rock in the center of an ancient clearing bordered by four massive trees whose trunks cast eerie shadows across the figures of five cats standing on the rock. The smallest of them, a pretty dark ginger tabby with soft amber eyes, is facing the other four, her delicate features twisted in outrage.
"You of all cats, Dawnstar, should know that SunsetClan would never shelter Malicestar! After all he has done to my Clan, and your own!" Her voice is high-pitched and light, but it is deepened in her anger. Her words are directed toward another she-cat, also ginger, but a lighter color, and a larger size than her. Her voice, though angry, is also pleading, and her amber eyes are pools of misery as she faces the other leader.
But despite the younger cats efforts, Dawnstar is relentless. Her eyes, which are a deep blue flecked with green, are cold as she stares at the younger cat. She opens her mouth to reply, but another cat cuts in front of her.
"Your Clan are too weak for the forest Sunsetstar! I think you should leave now, before you are scared off by an angry snail! You probably accepted Malicestar without question." The speaker is a massive dark red tom with orange eyes that are fixed in a glare at Sunsetstar.
Susetstar's eyes are wide with anguish. She can tell that she is losing the argument, despite the fact that her warriors are all on their paws, hissing defiance at the other leaders upon the rock. The loudest voice in the crowd is a long-furred white tom with blue eyes, and SunsetClan's deputy.
"You won't actually give in to them will you? How dare those no-good pieces of fox-dung accuse us of sheltering Malicestar!"
Sunsetstar flicks her tail to silence him. "Quiet, Snowstreak. Dewstar, please don't tell me you think us traitors too?"
This question is directed to one of Sunsetstar's best friends, the leader of DewClan. But the fluffy silver tabby fixes a cold green gaze on her. "I though I could trust you, Sunstestar. But now you're sheltering Malicestar, now I see the truth." She pointedly turns her back on Sunsetstar.
The young ginger leader is now close to tears. She locks her gaze on her last hope, a dusky brown tom, and the leader of MountainClan, Mountainstar. But his amber eyes show no emotion as he glares at her. Making sure he has the attention of his audience, he faces her defiantly. "Sunsetstar, you and your Clan are traitors to the forest. Even SpiritClan are disgracing you." He gestures with his tail to the stars, which blaze high overhead, uninterrupted by clouds.
Susnsetstar's amber eyes were wide as she realized he was right. "What are you saying, Mountainstar?" she asked fearfully.
Mountainstar whispers something to the other leaders, who nod their reply. They all turn meaningfully to Sunsetstar, and announce together, "SusetClan shall be driven from our forest!" The moon shines high in the sky as they give their battle cries, and the once-peaceful clearing explodes into battle.
