Well, after reading Lighningstar's, I had to do a review about my Matchbox Twenty concert XD So here it is:
Well, we waited for a while and then this band came on that wasn't stated on the pamphlets, so no one had any idea who they were. I asked the women beside me, but I couldn't understand her (I learned afterwards that they were Mute Math). They're music was OK and they put on a really good show. they were all doing flips while playing the piano and stacking the drums on each other and standing on them. It was really good. They played a couple songs and then we waited for a long time.
Then, Allanis Morissete came on, which was really good 'cause I love her music. She remained hidden for the first song and everyone was wondering where she was. She played several songs I knew and then a lot of her new stuff (Which isn't as good and is really slow. The people came to rock, so they started walking around and stuff XD). Then she played "Ironic" One of her biggest hits and "You Oughtta Know" (My favorite song by her) and it was the rockingest I'd ever heard that song!
During Intermission, i went and got a frozen Yogurt which I had to put under my seat when Matchbox Twenty came on XD
Then Matchbox Twenty came on, and the crowd went berserk! The lead singer, Rob Thomas, asked who the crowd was and they went crazy again. (All the girls were screaming "You're so hot!" XD) Before they came on, they had Johnny Cash playing and a huge screen with a countdown. This astronaut sat down and took off his helmet as the countdown ended and they opened with "How Far We've Come" (A huge new hit). There was all tornado warnings and stuff, so he said, "Let's stay and rock for a while" which got the crowd going wild again. They played a lot of songs I knew which was really cool. Then they played my favorite song, "Long Day" and I screamed really loud XD. We had to cheer for a long time for Encore. Then they played six or so songs before they played probably their biggest hit, "Push". It was funny because these three teenage girls in front of us were getting ready to go, but when that song came on, they literally nearly hyperventilated XD. But, when I was dancing to "Push" my ice cream had melted so it was all sticky XD.
It was definitely the best concert I've been to and I'd go again in a heartbeat!
