[WARNING - It, uh, might have a swear word or two somewhere, I just copied and pasted it off my other site. I'll try and remove all the cussing though XD]
Well I went last night, like I said I would, and it was by far the best concert I've ever been to. If you wanna know why, plus a few details on it, I will happily oblige <3
Okay, so when I got there, I went to the merch stands, but there was a huge line-up so I went to go find my seat. It was section 105, row H, seat 18. That's on the very edge of the row, next to the doors. I'm lucky for that, you'll find out why later. So the minute I sat down, actually a few seconds before, the lights went down, and the concert started.
Cute is What We Aim for was up first. In the beginning they said something about someone not being able to come (maybe their drummer? Cause they didn't have one...) but they showed up anyways. At some point during... their second or third song, can't remember which, one of the guitarists broke a string. I actually didn't notice, but anyways, they asked questions like how London was doing while they waited. And when the guy came back, they played another song, maybe two, I can't remember.
Fabre Drive's stage was already up, since CIWWAF didn't have a stage. So intermission was shorter than usual, which hell I didn't mind that at all. Can't remember much about them, but I surprisingly knew a few of their songs, (like this one, and this, too -click the word 'this' for the songs-) so I sang along and stuff. Then it was intermission, so I went to get a drink
They were on the stage for a bit, and then (fin-a-ly) intermission, and I was only impatient cause I knew Metro Station was next. And (haha) you know you're a major Metro Station fan when the whole time their crew did the sound check (they were the only ones that did, cause they're cool) you're thinking "ooh, that's anthony improgo's drum kit... the amps are sexy, wonder which one is trace's?" Yeah, I'm cool like that. Kay, so anyways they came on stage after a brief intermission. Which seemed like forever to me. I screamed so loud I could feel my ears ringing. I sang all the songs as loud as I could, and I was the only one around me standing. But of course I'm a major Metro fan so I couldn't have cared less. They had the biggest fanfare of all the guest bands, and you should have heard the scream that went up when they said they were going to sing Shake It. Ouch, my ears. But of course I screamed too. Mason pointed at me and the three other girls that had finally stood up, because we were the only ones standing and screaming like idiots. Hey, we're cool. And near the end, Trace took his shirt off. d**n, he's hella pale Anyways, last song they played was control, that made me happy. I <3 that song.
So after they left Simple Plans stage crew came out and they made this huge red curtain go up around the stage so no one could see what was going on. That intermission was pretty long. But finally, the curtain dropped and they started to play Generation. Didn't know the song, but I screamed and fist pumped anyways. I like them. So I know I'm talking a lot, so I'll try not to take too long. They played a few more songs, and then Pierre was talking, and he says "Wow, the crowd is great tonight," or something along those lines, can't remember exactly, "but there aren't many people in the pit." I grit my teeth, cause my mom hadn't got me pit tix cause she thought 'i would get hurt' I'm fifteen for gods sake, and I can fight if I have to! And THEN (f**k, I will love you forever, Pierre) he says "Let's get some more people down here. Security, it's alright, let them come." I couldn't even scream I was so happy. That's why I was lucky I was at the end, cause I just jumped up and booked it straight down there.
Once I was down, I got almost all the way to the front. So anyways, I was hella happy and during some point when I was fist pumping (since I was the only one still doing it in my area cause I'm cool) Pierre gave me the thumbs up. I almost died. Anyways my arms still hurt from all that pumping, so it hurts to type too much. They sang a song about London and did a little singing of songs like I Kissed A Girl and Summer Love, and Low, which was funny. The concert, all in all, was amazing.
Once I got out I got myself a Metro Station bag. And then went home with a killer headache. And ahaha when we're going home my mom says "So, who was better, Linkin Park or Simple Plan?"
It took me like a second to answer. "Sorry Linkin Park, but Simple Plan let us down into the pit. Simple Plan, you win."
This girl got a small shot of everyone running into the pit - ca.youtube.com/watch?v=o8Ey0SmCcmw
