I forced myself to write and here's the prologue. Prologue: Simon yawned and began washing his paw He was sleeping on the carpet on the top floor of the house he shared with five other cats. He purred as the morning sun washed over him, warming his fur. Looking out the window, Simon had an urge to go outside. But, he knew he was being stupid. There was all sorts of dangers and . . A car pulling up the drive jerked Simon out of his sleep. He looked out the window again and saw a strange car parked outside. Suddenly, there were several loud bangs. Simon ran along the cream floor and down the stairs. On the second floor, he saw Hallow. Hallow was a beautiful calico with stunning green eyes. "What's going on?" Simon asked. "Someone's shooting at our owner!" Salt shouted dashing up the stairs to join them. There was aloud thud and Simon jumped. "Where are the others?" Hallow exclaimed. "The others" were Flame and Berry, two ginger brothers, and Ink, a grumpy black kitten. "Guys!" Simon heard Berry shout from down stairs. Simon raced down the steps, his heart racing. Who new what he'd see! As he ran down, he saw his owner lying still in a pool of blood.
