Alright, so this is a great thread for people that are absolutely obsessed with certain bands and have favourite songs by them that they just want to make everyone listen to and love like they do. So I made this thread for people like that, because I feel like that right now, and I'm really hyper and need to type something. Yeah, I'm being weird So basically you post your top three bands, a small description on each (optional) and why you like them. It'd be really great if you could post a few links to your favourite songs by each. And it'd be amazing if you could help me out and post the genre so people that don't like certain music don't have to listen to it. I'd also love if someone listened to and then reviewed some of the songs. Because it's always cool to know what people think of your favourite songs, right? I'll go first of course, I always do when I start a thread If I spelled any of the locations wrong, feel free to correct me. MAYDAY PARADEA band from Tallahassee, Florida My favourite band Genre has been classified as 'emo/indie/rock/alternative' Song #1 (The Last Something That Meant Anything. It's my favourite song, so beautiful) Song #2 (Walk on Water or Drown. I just like this one... ) Song #3 (I'd Hate To Be You When People Find Out What This Song is About. That's a mouthful. Another favourite song of mine, it made me and my friend cry ) ALESANAA band from Raleigh, Carolina My other favourite band It's pronounced sort of like 'AliceAnna' XD Genre has been classified as 'metal/screamo/emo' Song #1 (Third Temptation of Paris NOT SCREAMO, beautiful song. I can sing Shawn's part lol. He starts singing when he says 'my impending dread') Song #2 (Ambrosia. They all had the scene haircut in this video... now only Shawn and Shane do es (Shane left -sob-)) Song #3 (Apology) Song #4 (Congratulations, I Hate You. They have more than 3 songs cause I like all their music ALOT) MARIANAS TRENCHA band from Vancouver, BC (woo go Canada) Tied with All Time Low and Metro Station for second favv Genre has been classified as 'dance/emo/rock' Song #1 (Shake Tramp, the song almost everyone knows. LOVE the video, it's hilarious. Poor Josh got slapped in the face by the nerd SO many times during the making XD I watched it on YouTube, he had a red mark on his cheek. I can do the Shake Tramp dance lol) Song #2 (Say Anything) Song #3 (Push)

I found out where Alesana's from!
And I'm going to MURDER Shane Crump if I ever meet him. MURDER HIM! He abandoned them while they WERE ON TOUR.
-seethes and shakes fist at Shane-
They have a temporary bassist to fill his spot (Jake) but STILL. Blegh.

Let me rephrase the above post...
- clears throat -
I AM GOING TO MURDER ADAM FERGUSON!
- seethes -
Yeah. So Shane leaves, all the fans are sad, they had to find a temporary bassist. I'm already ticked off ENOUGH about the whole thing, because that's the Alesana everyone had come to know/love/listen to and whatever.
And then Huck decides he wants to 'go in a different direction'. He also stated he wanted to go home because of his family. Yeah, I get that, I respect that. But he didn't just 'go home'. He started a new band with Alesana's former drummer Will who I neither know nor really care to know because I know Jeremy as their drummer. Anyways, he ditched Alesana. Huck did. Bah.
Okay. - calms down a little -
But on a happier note, Shane is back - huggles Shane - and Jake is now officially IN the band, as the guitarist. Jake is friggen adorable <3
Oh and Marianas Trench isn't SECOND favourite anymore. They're up there in first with Alesana and Mayday Parade Not only because they're Canadian and I love their songs (all of them have such DEEP meaning!!) but because after speaking to Ian Casselman and Mike Ayley, and having them tell me (FYI, they are IN the band, drummer and bassist) they'd come to London, how the hell can I not love them?
Who can tell that I'm extremely bored/hyper ATM?

Okay, since I'm feeling obsessed today, here are pictures of all six bands (with some member's names added *sweatdrop*): JourneyI know I've put up this picture before, but it's the only good one I can find of them as a current band. I'm sure you all know who they are. xD SwitchfootThey're freakin' amazing. <3 From left to right: Tim Foreman (bass, backing vocals), Drew Shirley (guitar), Jon Foreman (vocals, guitar), Chad Butler (drums), and Jerome Fontamillas (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals). Gah, Chad and Drew look so freakin' alike. *sweatdrop* I have a better (cuter!) picture, but it's too big to put on here. Here's the link if you want to see it. --> www.breathecast.com/files/photo/photo_20060710090134_0.jpgThe WhoThey look like nerds. xD But they're awesome anyway. One of 'em looks like a grown-up version of a guy I used to know. x3 I'm pretty sure these are all their old band members, because Keith Moon (their drummer; I think he's the one in the very front) is now dead (well, he's been dead for a while) because of drug overdose. I miss you, Keith! D= But then again, I never knew you. Oh well. All-American RejectsThey're pretty cute. ^^ Especially their drummer, Chris Gaylor. He's the guy on the very far left. Kaiser ChiefsI couldn't decide which of these to put up, so I put both of them. xD You gotta love the dogpile one. LifehouseThis one was just too cute to pass up. =3 I love how Rick Woolstenhulme (the bald guy, their drummer) is just standing there totally stoic. xD I also have total love for Jason's expression (the dude getting leaned on, their singer). I can see the commercial now... Cost of photographer: $0 Printing photo: $0 The look on Jason Wade's face: Priceless <3

You asked for it AlesanaThis is the "old" Alesana. I know you can't see them THAT well, but I just love this picture. From left to right - Steven Tomany (their old bassist), Patrick Thompson (when he had black hair, their lead guitarist), Jeremy Bryan (before the minihawk, their drummer), Dennis Lee (their lead screamer), Shawn Milke (love the facial expression, their lead singer and guitarist), and Adam "Huckleberry" Ferguson (- glares - their former guitarist, backup vocalist) And this is the "new" Alesana. This is a recent picture, they just updated the entire profile in Dec. and this was part of their giant header thing. From left to right - Patrick Thompson (he makes me glad to have reddish hair), Jeremy Bryan (why did he cut his HAIR?), Dennis Lee (I love his expression, he's adorable), Shawn Milke, (liked his old hair better, the streaks are a nice touch though), Shane Crump (their bassist, backup vocalist), and Jake Campbell (HE IS SO GD ADORABLE! He's their guitarist, took over after Huck left) Mayday ParadeThe "old" Mayday Parade, before Jason left. I'm assuming Jason Lancaster is the guy hanging off the wall. He was formerly their other lead vocalist/guitarist. And on the ground, from left to right - Jake Bundrick (their drummer, vocalist, I LOVE his old hair), Brooks Betts (when he still had his long hair, their guitarist), Derek Sanders (their lead vocalist), Jeremy Lenzo (their bassist, vocalist), and Alex Garcia (lead guitarist, I love his hair, he's my favourite) The "new" Mayday Parade even though it's just them minus Jason. I couldn't find a good picture with Brooks' short hair XD From left to right - Brooks Betts, Jake Bundrick, Derek Sanders, Alex Garcia (he's still my favourite... his hair is LOVE), and Jeremy Lenzo. There was another awesome picture but it REALLY stretched the page, cause it was big. I love how Josh's hair blends into the background XD From L to R - Josh Ramsay (love his hair, he's guitar and lead vocals), Matt Webb (guitar, vocals), Mike Ayley (I've spoke to him on their chat, bass, vocals), Ian Casselman (I've spoke to Ian, too, he's a sweetheart. drums, vocals)
